breaks
It's Christmas break and I thought I'd be back to running here in the holidays, but a run on Christmas Eve came with some pain. Coupling a winter storm back here at home in Indiana and I'm just laying around filling my online carts (gotta stop that), buying more Steam games while I sit around bored, and just generally being lazy.
I hear breaks are good for us and I agree, but this forced break is rough for my mental. I want to run so badly. I want to get back to training for my race in June. I want to move my body. Being cooped up inside is tough as heck. I want to get back on the training train and really sink my teeth back into it all.
Yes, I'm incredibly grateful for my loving family and the town I'm from and I'm so thankful that I got to fly in unscathed. I don't want to be like, "I love this, but..." so I'm going to try to sit with that and learn to embrace the slowness here back home.
Hopefully this stack of games that I bought in the Steam sale that I'll only put a few hours into will bring me some modicum of joy lol.
