personal finance man

I'm tackling my debt over the next year and it's probably not going to be easy. There are behaviors and emotions and all sorts of other things tied into my habits of spending.

I assume the grey matter rework is going to be unpleasant, but I think I'm at a level of awareness with a will to adjust where I can tackle this.

I'm going to treat it like any other long-ass ultra I've done. Preparing and planning my budget gives me hope just like the early-race energy. For the first dozen or so miles, you're riding the high of the start but trying to keep it chill and settle into a pace that works for the long day. Towards the back half, I'll hit the lull where my shields are dropped and I'll resort to bad habits (poor form creeps in and I buy something I don't need), but then the re-invigoration knowing the finish line is ahead will add the boost to keep pushing through.

I'm ready to tell this debt and my previous self to fuck right off.
